TV robot

Tried to paint from imagination, using photoshop CS4 + Wacom cintiq. It turned out pretty  crap. More studying of light and shade required. 

I found a great site with lots of free digital painting tutorials, it can be found here Feng Zhu, pretty amazing stuff from a talented concept artist. 

Bun

Fancied creating a rabbit, originally designed in Illustrator - painted in PS CS4 - an exercise to see if i could produce a creature of my own, given that there are a thousand "bunnehs" out there already. I think I preferred it without lipstick. Is the Wacom Cintiq nice to use? I am wondering about the Cintiq, i've had it for over a year now. I am starting to wish i'd bought an Intous instead because I've tried a Bamboo tablet and I liked sitting back and creating, rather than being on top of my drawing with all that glaring back light. My eyes are minced! I've tried the Intuous 3 very nice, but slippy and apparently the Intuous 4 goes through nibs at a rate of knots. Still undecided.

Painted from a photo of my friends beautiful brown eyes. Got bored, never completed, its crap. Used Wacom Cintiq.

Lakones revisited

Lakones Corfu  - PS painting .......... grrrrrrrrrrr. Its very wishy washy, not sure if that's my eyes or the monitor, or just my amateur colour picking. I think i am using the pen settings in a baaaaaad way, too much opacity is leading to washy colours!
